Let Me In 04:00
I can't stop, thinkin' bout ya baby, you're my inspiration You always got me thinkin', how much I love you I will always love you... x2 I can't stop, thinkin' bout ya baby, you're my inspiration You always got me thinkin', how much I love you The memories, the happy nights, the stupid fights, your evening sigh The tears you cry, just let me in, I'll make you laugh again I can't stop, thinkin' bout ya baby, you're my inspiration You always got me thinkin', how much I love you Let me in, so our vision of love can begin... x2 I will always love you... x2 I can't stop, thinkin' bout ya baby, you're my inspiration You always got me thinkin' how much I love you... x2

Stuck - in, the same place everyday, I wanna leave tonight Wish - I, was with that group again, that made me feel alive And though the years may pass, I have the dream deep inside And though this life won't last, I'll just remember the past (Repeat for second verse) Remember the past... The years go by and we grow old Loved ones pass but their insight grows We must remember the past, so it will always last I close my eyes, and think of you... But I agree it mustn't last forever There must be balance so reflection comes right after We must remember the past, so it will always last I close my eyes, and think of you... We must remember the past, so it will always last x4

Something doesn't feel right, but I'll get over it I'm never really satisfied, but I'll get used to it Everyday I'm overwhelmed with what I haven't done Maybe I should stop complaining, shut my mouth, and start relating With you - I can feel complete/With you - I can be good x2 But in a moments glance, you're gone And all the times we spent doing what you want means nothing anymore I must've lost what I thought was for you But then I gained what I wanted to be... You know what they say, you want something, do it for yourself x4

Home 04:04
Home, not just a place It's friends, together in warm embrace Summer nights, early morning delights Days of golden dreams Looking back, on what it means To be alive and having the times of our lives This is home - where we are not alone x4 In our home we have love, happiness, memories, melodies, And endless summer... No boundaries of our past endeavors Feelings that shall live forever... We, we love how we were/And how, we will be again x2 This is home - where we are free This is home - where we are not alone

about

One night, early summer 2016, my dear friend Chris Markowski, showed me some old youtube videos of himself playing and looping his kalimba way back in 2010. There was this instant inspiration that came over me, so the idea and preparation for this album began the next day. The audio from each kalimba video was extracted, and the experimenting began. With the exception of the second song, "Remember The Past," every track was written to the exact length of Chris' original performance (how ironic I didn't use his original performance in a song eventually titled "Remember The Past") but anyway, this was done so I could attempt to capture that "what could have been" type of vibe. So with that said, every song was born from Chris' original ideas, from such an innocent and hopeful time, captured by a camcorder, and now, 6 years later, brought to life in this Bobby Shock album, "Let Me In." I hope that anyone thats reading this, enjoys the album and this short, to the point little background story from how it became what it is, but don't forget: we must remember the past, so it will always last...
